The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (PIDS) Foundation supports scientific and educational activities in the field of pediatric infectious diseases. The Foundation seeks to provide the resources necessary to generate and disseminate a wide range of information about pediatric infectious diseases, from basic research to the management of children with infections, that may be used by physicians, scientists, epidemiologists, and allied health care professionals.

By supporting the PIDS Education and Research Foundation, leaders in philanthropy, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sciences, academia, and the medical community will advance our understanding of infectious diseases and their impact on children. This will help create ways to prevent infections and to treat children with infectious diseases worldwide. These goals are synonymous with the humanitarian missions of many professional, commercial, and government organizations, and allow these institutions to become part of the future of pediatric research.
